Baños, Amazon Gateway

“Baños de Agua Santa”, is known locally as “A gift from Heaven”. This small tourist town is located near two national parks: Sangay and Llanganates. Baños offers many opportunities for lovers of adventure, extreme sports and nature, from impressive waterfalls, culture, delicious cuisine, to an active volcano.

Once in Baños we will visit the popular “Ruta de las Cascadas”. An exciting activity here is the cable car that crosses the Pastaza canyon to the “Manto de la Novia” waterfall (40 meter drop / 131 feet). Our next stop is the imposing “Pailón del Diablo” waterfall (80 meter drop / 262 feet), one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the country. Here we will have the opportunity to take walks in the tropical jungle, get in close contact with nature and enjoy the tranquility that surrounds us.
